Pour'Em Anther World Tour Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us at our 3rd annual Pour 'Em Another school fundraising event. This years theme, "World Tour" featured 3 specialty craft cocktails from around the globe. These cocktails, created by Christian Hershman of The Overton, were presented via live demonstrations around the room. Evening festivities and entertainment also included chance auctions, dinner & dessert by the bite, and music and dancing from Staar Entertainment. A great time was had by all.

They ventured out to Florida Studio Theatre to see, "A Beary Big Adventure and Other Winning Plays". Written by local elementary students, these award winning plays were performed by a cast of professional actors. The creative and imaginative writing was wise, heartfelt and often hilarious for teachers and students alike! This was the first trip to live theatre for many of our young students, and fun was had by all. ![]() Understanding Significant Lessons from History Richard Bergman from The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee came to speak to our 7th and 8th graders about the Holocaust this week. A pin drop could be heard during this sobering discussion. Our students sat on the edges of their seats while hearing about the atrocities of this era. These students also have visited the Florida Holocaust Museum at the start of their unit on WWII. The kids have been presented with the overarching question of, "What personal responsibility does each of us have to ensure this never happens again." Teaching about genocide is a way to have a lasting impact on our students, to affect their worldview, and to empower them with the understanding that they can make a difference. ![]() Easy Steps for Re-enrollment ![]() ![]() Click on the flyers above to expand the view.
