State Scholarship Programs

Community Day School is committed to making our high-quality education financially accessible to our families and to creating the opportunity for students to cultivate a love of learning. In addition to offering tuition assistance through our Variable Tuition Model, Community Day School participates in several scholarship programs authorized by the Legislature and administered by the Florida Department of education designed to make high quality, private school education available to students who might otherwise not be able to afford it and for those with learning exceptions.

Community Day School currently is authorized to accept awards from:

  • Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (need-based)
  • Family Empowerment Scholarships
    • Unique Abilities (students with IEP/504 or medical)
    • Educational Options (need-based)
  • Hope Scholarship (bullying)

Independent schools nurture intellectual curiosity, stimulate personal growth, encourage critical thinking, and promote a lifelong love of learning. More students in independent schools enroll in advanced courses than in public, parochial, and other private schools.

Notice to parents enrolling students under the FES-UA scholarship: Please note that our school accommodates students with disabilities in accordance with the requirements under federal and local law.  However, your child may not necessarily receive the types of accommodations or related services that your child may be entitled to receive at a public school as public schools have different obligations under the IDEA. The IDEA does not apply to private schools. Click link to learn more /fs/pages/1354
