Remember Me – Remember the lost children in the Holocaust Organic Fruit Tree Orchard.

I AM here to Remember what my father and so many others can no longer remember.I AM THE WITNESS of the lost children of the Holocaust.

Never forget. Never again.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Jewish Federation of Sarasota Manatee and matching grants from the Rosenthal Family Fund and Blumenthal Family Fund, the Community Remember Me Holocaust Organic Fruit Tree Orchard was established in memory of the lost children of the second World War. Built on the shared campus between Temple Beth Sholom and Hershorin Schiff Community Day School, the Remember Me Holocaust Organic Fruit Tree Orchard Program was established for any person to plant a fruit bearing tree in remembrance of an innocent child who perished in the Holocaust.The Go Green Fund sponsors a professional horticulturalist to tend both the Remember Me Orchard and Community Kibbutz Garden.

To Plant Your Remember Me Orchard Tree:

Step 1) Choose a name to remember:

1. If the person Remembering is honoring a relative who was lost in the Holocaust there is no requirement to select a lost child from the Yad Vashem data base

2. If the person Remembering is honoring a family member who passed away but did not perish in the Holocaust - in order to plant a tree in the Remember Me orchard the name of a lost child MUST be selected from the Yad Vashem database of lost children to have a twinning remembrance program and ceremony. Step 2) Request the name: CLICK HERE to request the name of a Lost Child from the Remember Us website for a Bnai Mitzvah. There is a voluntary fee of $36 to reserve a name of child lost in the Shoah which is paid directly to the Remember Us program.
