Creative Arts
The Community Day School Art Program exposes all students to a full year of multimedia creative arts designed to stimulate creative thinking, encourage self-expression, inspire empathy and foster multi-cultural understanding. Students use both two- and three-dimensional mediums while also making connections to the outside world. Ideas are expressed and applied through drawing, painting, sculpture, clay, and design. Students also learn art history, participate in critiques, and study artists while also making multicultural and interdisciplinary connections via collaborations with classroom teachers.
