Creative Arts

The Community Day School Art Program exposes all students to a full year of multimedia creative arts designed to stimulate creative thinking, encourage self-expression and foster empathy and multi-cultural understanding. Students use 3 dimensional and 2 dimensional mediums and make connections to the outside world. Ideas are expressed and applied through drawing, painting, sculpture, clay, and design. Students also learn art history, participate in critiques, study artists, make multicultural and interdisciplinary connections by collaborating with the classroom teachers on projects and exhibits.
